Help Artist Costin Chioreanu Raise Money for the Victims of the Romanian Club Fire

You probably know Costin Chioreanu from his poster and album cover artwork, most notably that of At The Gates’ At War With Reality. But Chioreanu is also a filmmaker, a musician, and a Romanian, and he’s started a project to help raise money for the victims of last week’s horrible concert fire which killed over 40 people including three members of metalcore band Goodbye to Gravity and resulted in the resignation of Romania’s prime minister.

Chioreanu will release The Quest For A Morning Star, a collection of the atmospheric soundtracks to his exhibitions which features music by members of Mayhem, Sigh, Aura Noir, and more. All proceeds from the album go to the families of those killed and injured in the fire, to help pay for medical bills and funeral costs. The album is only seven Euros, and contains over an hour of terrifying dark ambient music.

We can’t stress enough how great it is of Chioreanu to be doing this. This tragedy has obviously shaken his homeland. Hospital care and funerals are massively expensive. Please give what you can.

The Quest For A Morning Star can be ordered at Costin’s Bandcamp. You can listen to the first track, “Absent Abstract Above” and watch Costin’s beautiful movie Outside The Great Circle below.
