Decapitated Release Bleak, Violent, Animated Video for “Veins”

Poland does simple, creepy, bleak art incredibly well. One only has to look at Polish movie posters to see what I mean; rather than dress up a message or theme, they display it in its full grotesque glory.

I bring this up because the new vide by Polish death metallers Decapitated is beautifully drawn and animated, but damn if it isn’t also heartbreaking and nihilistic. The video is the tale of a psychic who’s been kidnapped by a team of G-men and is being used to control robot soldiers and make them kill people. Then, the poor psychic is saved…or so he thinks. The track itself is pretty cool, but damn if the video doesn’t make it a hundred times cooler.
