Long-Awaited Supergroup Giraffe Tongue Orchestra Announces Live Debut

  • Axl Rosenberg

You wanna know how long we’ve waited for some actual music from Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, the supergroup featuring The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Ben Weinman, Mastodon’s Brent Hinds, Alice in Chains’ William DuVall, Academy Award nominee Juliette Lewis, and MetalSucks reader Pete Griffin? We’ve been covering this band’s “impending debut” since 2004, which is amazing, because there was no MetalSucks before the end of 2006. That‘s how long.

But there appears to be some actual progress being made! The PRP reports that not only will the band make their live debut at the UK’s Reading and Leeds festivals on August 27 and 28,  but they’ve been posing for promo photos, too. Which, duh, suggests their album is done, or close to it.

Hanging out at the #GTO photoshoot today with these guys @benweinman @bhinds and #williamduvall

HUZZAH! Now the band just has to be good. Shouldn’t be a problem, right?
