0

Seton Hall University’s WSOU radio is the only all-metal, all-the-time station currently broadcasting in the US, and as been a force in metal for DECADES. It’s also streamable online from anywhere in the world! Each week, the staff of WSOU shares their picks for the heaviest of the heavy, as well as the station’s charts for that week, right here on MetalSucks. Enjoy:

Power Trip – “Suffer No Fool” (Garren L.)

For new music this week I decided to write about a track that really isn’t new at all, “Suffer No Fool” off Power Trip’s latest split LP with Integrity, previously heard on one of Power Trip’s demos some years ago. What I really like about this track is that you can really hear Power Trip’s hardcore heritage and attitude. The songs on this LP, when taken side by side with the Manifest Decimation album, demonstrate that Power Trip are the best crossover thrash band out there right now. I eagerly await their next full length release and their upcoming tour with Terror and Harm’s Way.

Volbeat – “Seal The Deal” (Brendan S.)

“Seal the Deal” is by far one of the best songs on the new album Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie. It opens like an old school Motorhead song but picks up with that signature Volbeat rockabilly style. If you haven’t listened to it by now, it’s well worth your time to do so.

Every Time I Die – “The Coin Has A Say” (Mike C.)

Fifteen years and seven albums later, Every Time I Die are back again and as vicious as ever with “The Coin Has A Say,” the first single off their upcoming album Low Teens. The track starts out with their their signature brand of ripping, energetic metalcore and slows down into an absolutely crushing mosh part at the end. I can easily see this song this being a crowd favorite on Warped Tour this summer.
