Periphery Need You to Shut Your “Motormouth” and Listen to Their New Single

Could the hype for this new Periphery album be any more real? Last month we got “Flatline,” which was awesome. Then last week Periphery dropped “Marigold” on us and it was absolutely killer. And this week we get “Motormouth.” I’d say #blessed, but I’m not a piece of shit.

To start off, “Motormouth” is a little bit heavier and a lot less melodic than “Marigold.” It’s mostly screaming with a few clean liness sprinkled in here and there. This is great, because it gives us a look at what kind of range the songs will have when P3 finally drops. Not that Periphery have ever had trouble diversifying their songs.

Although “Motormouth” is great, I’d still have to say that “Marigold” is my favorite of the singles so far. Spencer Sotelo has an incredible singing voice (obviously), and good God, is the chorus to that song catchy. Regardless, P3 is shaping up to be one hell of an album… but we didn’t expect anything less from Periphery.

Periphery III: Select Difficulty drops July 22 via Sumerian Records. You can listen to “Motormouth” below and pre-order the album here.
