Video: Dave Grohl Joins Prophets of Rage Onstage for a Covers Jam

0

Prophets of Rage, the RATM/Public Enemy/Cypress Hill hybrid, have been playing some high-profile shows during, well, their entire existence, which makes sense given that their purpose is shaking up an already circus-like election. Now it appears that some other big names in rock are getting in on the action.

During the band’s recent stop in Toronto, Dave Grohl joined the band onstage for a cover of MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams,” which is arguably the best song ever recorded. Grohl, of course, looks awesome, headbanging around like a psycho, but it’s B-Real’s insane leprechaun clap-along on the side that really takes the cake. That dude’s a legend, sure, but it’s obvious he’s not exactly prepared for dancing along to a classic rock tune. None of the less, good for those dudes.

Watch below, as well as a video of the band and AWOLNATION’s Aaron Bruno covering Springsteen’s “The Ghost of Tom Joad,” a Rage staple. The Party’s Over, the new EP by Prophets of Rage, drops today; learn more about it here.
