God Dethroned Announce New Album, Release First Single

God Dethroned broke up in 2011, reunited in 2014, and will release their first album in seven years in 2017: they’ve announced that Metal Blade will release their new album, The World Ablaze, on May 5. Fans will be relieved to learn that the album is the long-anticipated conclusion to the band’s World War I trilogy, which began with 2009’s Passiondale.

But what good is an album announcement without a single? Fret not: they’ve released one of those, too. “On the Wrong Side of the Wire” is exactly the kind of acidic, catchy European melodeath you’d expect this band to produce. Good to know that they haven’t lost a step in all that time away.
