Photos: Helsinki’s ‘Men of Rock’ Statues Get KISS Face Paint

So the Helsinki Central railway station in Finland (duh) has these large statues which are called the ‘Men of Rock.’

Appropriately, to commemorate KISS’ upcoming May 4 show at the local Hartwall Arena, whomever it is that’s in charge of these decisions decided to do this to the statues:

A press release announcing the, um, happening says that “All doubts [as to] whether or not Hellsinki is the world’s heavy metal capital [or not] will thus be resolved.” But I think the only doubts it actually resolves are those concerning the importance of Ace Frehley and Peter Criss to KISS. There are four statues, but either no one bothered with the Spaceman and the Cat, or no one bothered to photograph ’em.
