Slipknot Celebrate One Billion YouTube Views with New 360-Degree Video for “The Shape”

According to a press release, the nine-headed hydra that is Slipknot “recently saw its YouTube channel exceed 1 billion total views.” Which is neat! Not shocking given their popularity and the fact that there’s a HUGE visual component to the band, but still — neat!

The band has decided to mark the occasion with a new 360-degree video for their song “The Shape.” It was filmed at last year’s Knotfest and directed by Clown, although I dunno how much directing there really is to do with what’s basically a single uninterrupted performance with very few cuts. But fuck do I know, I don’t have a million views on YouTube.
