“Rites of the Locust,” the latest incantation from Incantation, is a real tumbler of a song. No, really — if the group’s aim was to induce the feeling of being shoved in a barrel lined with rusty nails, set on fire, and sent careening down a hill, well, mission accomplished. A stampede of rhinos would be less crushing, an EF5 tornado less vertiginous. This is a great song for lovemaking… if your lover is a demon with a grapple hook for a cock.
