Album Stream: Tiger Flowers, The Vicious Heart

Tiger Flowers - The Vicious Heart
We’ve been singing Tiger Flowers’ praises on MetalSucks for the past eleventy years, and today will be no different: we’re extremely excited to premiere their brand new EP, The Vicious Heart.

Following their 2014 full-length Dead Hymns and a self-titled EP before that, The Vicious Heart finds the New York outfit as, well, vicious as ever. It represents the next evolution in the band’s sound, at once more focused and somehow simultaneously even more chaotic and unhinged than ever before. If you’ve been lucky enough to catch one of their live performances you know exactly what we’re talking about, but even if not The Vicious Heart will give you a damn good idea of what the band is all about.

Says frontman Jesse James Madre:

“The idea was to loosely tell a story and treat the songs like chapters. The story takes us down a road of loss and betrayal. A warrior comes home to find everything he loved taken from him by the man he was out protecting. For this man, Hell is not the war and the death, it’s having nothing to come home to after all that.”

Stream the EP below; it comes out on June 23rd via Still Water Recordings and can be ordered here.
