Video Premiere: The Fading feat. Anneke van Giersbergen, “A Moment of Insight”

Good things happen when you combine the voice of Dutch singer Anneke van Giersbergen with, well, pretty much anything. But when her voice sits atop the Swedish-inspired riffing of Israeli melodeath band The Fading? Hooooo boy, it’s perfect.

Today MetalSucks is pleased to premiere a new music video for “A Moment of Insight,” a track from The Fading’s 2015 album Til Life Do Us Part. Though van Giersbergen — best known in the metal world for her work with Devin Townsend — didn’t appear on the album version of the track, she’s lent her voice to a special version used for this video and it’s a match made in heaven. She appears in the clip, too, a nifty video full of Game of Thrones-like CGI directed by Ingwar Dovgoteles.
