Video: Elementary School Choir Covers Iron Maiden’s “Fear of the Dark”

Jovana Obradović has a passion for teaching her young students about metal. The conductor of the Ivo Andrić elementary school choir in Belgrade, Serbia has adapted metal classics for her kids in years past, including songs by Metallica, Scorpions and Manowar (!), and she’s keeping the metal torch lit this year, too.

The latest song to get the choral treatment is Iron Maiden’s “Fear of the Dark,” which, with its “whooaa oohh ohh!” refrain, lends itself perfectly to the cause. What’s more, this time around Obradović has expanded the performance to a full band affair, with three guitarists, a pianist and a percussionist on stage joining the dozens of singing children.

It’s never too early to introduce kids to metal. Keep it going, Jovana!
