Man on the Moon’s “Moore’s Law” is Space Instrumentalized

0

Coming from drum teacher Mike Johnston’s newest project Man On The Moon, Moore’s Law sure is something sweet on the ears. The music is overall quite simple; it never gets too complex and it never does anything to break from the mode or dissolve the beautiful illusion that is its atmosphere. At the beginning of “Tai Chi on a Waterbed” it changes up a little, but it quickly returns to the grace that the other two songs embodied. It’s very soft, very descriptive, and it sounds beautiful. It’s like if Fallujah’s Dreamless got turned the fuck down, stripped of its vocals, and was turned into coffeehouse music. It’s like if I liked The Contortionist. It’s pretty, it’s excellently composed, and it makes me think of space, and sometimes that’s all you need.
