Name and Meek Is Murder’s West Coast Tour Starts This Week; Watch the Exclusive Premiere of Meek Is Murder’s New Video, “Was”!
After seven years, the wait for West Coast fans to finally get to see perennial MetalSucks favorites Meek is Murder is finally over! The Brooklyn trio, along with the equally spaz-tastic Name, will kick off a tour of Washington, Oregon, and California this Thursday, January 18!!! These gigs are guaranteed to be in-fuckin’-sane, and who the hell knows when, if ever, MiM will get back to the West Coast. In other words: you do not wanna miss these shows. To celebrate leaving NYC’s shit weather behind for a week of relatively warmer climates, MetalSucks is stoked to debut a new video for Meek is Murder’s “Was,” the title track from their 2017 release. The clip is a sort of opposite to Guns N’ Roses’ famous “Garden of Eden” video, as well as a terrific study of the funny faces the band’s members make while rocking out. Explains drummer Frank Godla, who also directed the video:
“‘Was’ is the self titled song off our latest album, and it’s also one of the slowest songs we ever wrote, despite being one of the shortest. Keeping that in mind, my dumb idea was to create a music video where we play only one note together, but shot entirely in slow motion. It’s a story about the journey we share as a band, on the way to our first note.”

So imagine that, but, like, way faster, and you’ll have some idea of what you’re in for when Meek is Murder comes to town. Godla promises that the band’s setlist ” is made up almost entirely of songs you can find on our YouTube page. It’s like our Greatest Shits tour.” Like we said: you do NOT wanna miss these shows!
