Killswitch Engage’s Jesse Leach Says Vocal Surgery was Successful

Being a metal vocalist ain’t easy: all that screaming and growling will inevitably take its toll. Such was the case for Killswitch Engage’s Jesse Leach, who went under the knife last week for emergency surgery on his vocal cords, resulting in the cancelation of several live dates.

Good news today, as the procedure — which took place this morning at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC — was deemed successful. Says Leach himself via Instagram:

Surgery went well my friends. Time for rest and recovery 🤘🏼
Big thanks to Dr. Woo and the amazing staff at Mount Sinai Hospital. That was a surreal day, I’m glad it’s over and I’m headed home. #UnderTheKnife #VocalSurgery #JesseLeach #Surreal #Surgery #killswitchengage #TimesOfGrace #TheWeapon #Recovery #DestroyEraseImprove

Glad to hear Jesse’s doing alright! Hopefully he’ll be able to get back out on the road soon and, of course, finish working on the next KsE album.
