Dave Lombardo Performs Slayer’s “Raining Blood” and “Postmortem” with Ice T’s Body Count

Attendees of the Tuska Festival in Helsinki, Finland shouldn’t have been too surprised that Ice T’s Body Count kicked off their set with a cover of Slayer’s “Raining Blood” and “Postmortem” — the cover appeared on the former’s 2017 release Bloodlust. That intro is also just, like, THE perfect set opener.

But they surely didn’t expect this: legendary Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, who left the band in 2013, sat in for the cover! Lombardo’s band Dead Cross (with Mike Patton and others) performed at Tuska as well, so I suppose Ice and Dave thought this guest appearance would be a pretty cool thing to do. And indeed it was: the audience is pumped!

Check out some fan-filmed footage of the performance below.
