Video: Polyphia Guitarist Tim Henson Watches Fan YouTube Covers

Are Polyphia the next Animals as Leaders? The comparison isn’t quite fair (to either band), but it’s easy to understand why it’s being tossed around so much these days: not since AAL has a progressive instrumental metal band rightfully enjoyed such a meteoric rise as Polyphia’s current ascent. Little wonder that the Gear Gods set have anointed Polyphia the next great Heroes of Musicianship, taking to YouTube in droves to post guitar covers of their very own.

Naturally, MetalSucks couldn’t resist the opportunity to show a handful of these covers to Polyphia guitarist Tim Henson when he recently arrived in NYC for some hang time. As it turns out, Tim is every bit as entertaining watching his own fans as he is rocking out on stage!

Watch below. In case you missed it, we also shot videos with Zakk Wylde, John 5, Sevendust’s Lajon Witherspoon, and Alter Bridge’s Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti watching YouTube covers of their work; check ’em out by clicking their names above.
