Stream Horrendous’ Latest Mindfuck “Devotion (Blood For Ink)”

0

Philly’s Horrendous have a new album on the way, and judging by what we’ve heard so far, Idol is sure to melt face. There’s a new song here now, called “Devotion (Blood For Ink),” but before I get to that, I just need to point out how dope this album artwork is — Brian Smith’s unnervingly surreal style really works for Horrendous’ aesthetic. I’d like one copy for every wall in my house, please.

Anyway, I know the question burning in all of your minds is: “Does this new song from Horrendous slap?” Why yes, it does in fact slap, among many other forms of assault such as: crush, pulverize, rip, and violate. Old-school death metal chops are turned on their head and contorted to sound like the highlights of the ’80s and ’90s scenes on bath salts, with a proggy twist sealing the song off as more than just a crazy shred-fest. It’s art, maaannn.

Horrendous’ new album, Idol, is out September 28th. Pre-order it here.
