Sleep’s December Tour Will Not Be Canceled Despite Matt Pike’s Partially Amputated Toe

High on Fire posted a grisly photo of Matt Pike’s partially amputated toe yesterday. I’m going to embed that at the bottom of this post should you want to keep your breakfast down this morning. The procedure forced the band to drop off their fall tour with Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust and Haunt (now in progress without HoF), but Pike’s other outfit Sleep have vowed the same fate won’t befall their planned December run.

Metal Injection notes that Sleep posted the following message on Facebook, which actually pre-dates the Toe Photo Seen ‘Round the World:

“For those asking :

“Matt is recovering and in good spirits.

“We’ll see you on the road in December.

“- Sleep”

That’s great news! Hooray for Matt, hooray for Sleep, and hooray for the drug dealer or local dispensary you’ll be paying a visit to before attending one of the following dates:

12/05 Atlanta GA – Variety Playhouse
12/06 Atlanta GA – Variety Playhouse
12/07 Richmond VA – The National
12/08 Pittsburgh PA – Stage AE
12/10 Cincinnati OH – Taft Theatre
12/11 Louisville KY – WL Lyons Brown Theatre
12/14 San Antonio TX – Paper Tiger
12/15 Houston TX – White Oak Music Hall
12/16 Dallas TX – Bomb Factory
12/29 San Francisco CA – The Great American Music Hall
12/30 San Francisco CA – The Great American Music Hall
12/31 San Francisco CA – The Great American Music Hall

Last chance to click away before gross photo of a healing partially amputated toe…

… last chance for real now…
