Stream Pelican’s New Album, Nighttime Stories

Six years is a long time to wait for a new full-length from a band as good as Pelican. And even though we’re just about a week away from the June 7 release of their new album, Nighttime Stories, it’s those last few days that are always the hardest, ’cause you can practically taste that shit, and yet, it is not technically available for your consumption.

Well, hunger no longer, friends: NPR is streaming the entire album right now. Thanks, NPR!!!

So how is the album? Well, it is with no small amount of sadness that I can’t get the goddamn stream to work. But the two singles, “Midnight and Mescaline” and “Cold Hope,” both kicked all kinds of ass, so I’m assuming the record will not disappoint. I hope you have better luck listening to it.
