Melvins Forced to Cancel Tour After Drummer Dale Crover Suffers Injury

Sad news today for Europeans fans of the Melvins: the band has canceled their upcoming tour, which was scheduled to kick off next week, as a result of an unspecified back injury to drummer Dale Crover. Sad news for Mr. Crover, too, as I’m no stranger to back pain and it is incredibly difficult and emotionally taxing to deal with. The whole situation completely stinks.

Crover made the announcement yesterday on the band’s Facebook page, saying:

“Dear Friends,

“I regret to inform you that I have to cancel our upcoming European tour. I’ve been dealing with a back related injury and I’m unable to perform at this time.

“I feel awful that I have to let you all down like this. I want to assure you that I’m working very hard to return 100% better! We will come back as soon as we can.

“Thank you for understanding,

“Dale Crover”

Melvins and Flipper collaborated on a new song called “Hot Fish” that came out yesterday, which you can stream below.

As far as we know, the band’s planned fall tour of North America is still on.

Wishing Dale all the best and a speedy recovery on behalf of everyone at MetalSucks.
