Video: Bonnaroo Hippies Try to Guess Metal Sub-Genres (Hosted by Whitney Moore!)

Your old pal Whitney Moore is back with the first in a series of three videos shot at this year’s Bonnaroo, hosted at the same site in Tennessee the newly minted Exit 111 Festival (featuring Slayer, Guns N’ Roses, Ghost, Mastodon and more) is set to take place this fall!

In the inaugural episode of this series, Whitney spoke to several Bonnaroo attendees and asked them the burning question of our generation: can these hippies distinguish between sub-genres of metal such as doom, black, thrash and djent? The answer to that question probably won’t surprise you (no, they can’t), but our participants’ interpretations of each sub-genre will definitely make you laugh.
