Tool’s Entire Catalog is Now on Streaming Services

0

As the band has been teasing for several weeks now, Tool’s entire catalog is now available on streaming services for the first time, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon and Google Play. It’s even on Soundcloud! And if anyone still pays to download files, it’s on iTunes too. Links for all of those (and more) are collected in one convenient location right here.

Frontman Maynard James Keenan commented on the band’s extremely late arrival to the digital world in a typically self-deprecation fashion:

“Our obsession with, and dream of, a world where BetaMax and Laser Disc rule has ended. Time for us to move on. But never fear. There’s a brand new thing we think you’re really gonna dig. It’s called Digital Downloads and Streaming. Get ready for the future, folks!”

Are Maynard’s capitalization of “digital downloads” and “streaming” subtle digs at our Random Capitalization-inclined president? Who knows, but you can mull that over while you stream some Tool this morning.

The band’s long-awaited new album Fear Inoculum comes out on August 30th. A single from the record will likely see the light of day next week.
