Watch “Korn” as They “Play” a “Concert” Inside a Video Game

Last week, we learned that “Korn” would be “performing” a digital “concert” in the video games AdventureQuest 3D and AQ Worlds on August 20. We now have footage from that “show,” which you can watch below. “Korn” “played” while gamers did their thing (i.e., mashing buttons), and although the audio includes the sound of an audience, it sounds like it was just added onto the original studio recording — they didn’t use live recordings to try and make the “concert” feel more real.

Serious question for both Korn fans and players of these games: does this do anything for you? Because the appeal of having avatars of a band I like moving around while their music plays and I’m busy doing something else and not really concentrating doesn’t appeal to me. I’ve never been in the middle of Red Dead Redemption 2 and wished that “Pig Destroyer” or “Gojira” were there. If I wanted to hear their music while I’m cowboyin’, I would just, y’know, put their music on. I wouldn’t need a digital Joe Duplantier or Scott Hull to be present. Am I just nuts?
