Ingested Cancel U.S. Shows Due to Visa Issues
Between Orange Goblin and now Ingested, it’s been a bad week for U.K. metal bands attempting to tour the U.S. As usual, the culprit is our big fat stupid dumb government, which has been making it harder and harder for bands from abroad to tour here.
The U.K. death metallers announced yesterday that visa problems have forced the cancelation of three headline shows before their tour with Despised Icon, linking up with the tour in Canada before coming back into the States by land. Leave it to Canada, our sensible neighbors to the north, to welcome metal with open arms!
Speaking via Facebook, Ingested made the following announcement:
“Ingested fans USA, it is with great disappointment that we have to announce the cancellation of our opening 3 tour dates prior to our tour with Despised Icon.
Due to the delay in our VISA’s being processed we are not logistically able to enter the United States until after these shows. Our tour will now begin in Winnipeg, MB on 9/19.“We apologise to any one who was looking forward to seeing us in Kansas City, Des Moines & Minneapolis but unfortunately this is a situation that is out of our control.
“Thank you all in advance for the understanding and support!”
