Exclusive Video: The Growler Choir Performs “The Dayking”

Montreal’s Le Choeur Des Growlers — that “the Growler Choir” to us English-speakers — is exactly what you think it is, in the most epic way imaginable: an eighteen member choir comprised entirely of metal growlers. Founded by composer Pierre-Luc Senécal in 2016, the choir gave their debut public performance this past May, performing a piece based around Fortner Anderson’s poem “The Dayking” in a co-production with Le Vivier et Codes d’accès. The composition blends metal and contemporary music to create something that is undeniably unique… not to mention metal as fuck.

MetalSucks is thrilled to exclusively debut this pro-shot footage from the Growler Choir’s performance of “The Dayking.” We can assure you that you have never seen it anything like it!
