One Guy Bought 150 Pieces of Dave Mustaine’s Gear the Moment it Went on Sale

0

Megadeth megaman Dave Mustaine opened his very own Reverb shop earlier this month featuring nearly 150 pieces of his personal gear all battle tested and used on the band’s albums and tours. With everything ranging from high-end guitars and amps to smaller items like drum machines, effects pedals and wireless packs, the sale offered a neat opportunity for fans to own a piece of history and utilize some sweet gear for their own creative endeavors.

Sucks for you, though, unless your name is Keith Gannon. Gannon, you see, bought EVERY SINGLE ITEM in Dave’s Reverb shop the moment they all went on sale. In a 14-minute video Gannon released explaining why he did it, he essentially reveals it was a PR ploy to get business into his recording studio, Essex Recording Studios: “I bought these killer guitars for anyone to enjoy here at the studio! Just get in touch if you’re in the London/Essex area and you’re more than welcome to swing by the studio and rock out on them.” Gotta say, I respect the flex, even if it potentially screwed over 149 other Megadeth fans hoping to own a piece of history.

You can check out the video below. Megadeth will be on tour with Five Finger Death Punch in Europe this winter; dates and tickets here. They’ll be back in the U.S. next summer with Ozzy; dates and tickets here.
