Zakk Sabbath Announce 50th Anniversary Shows (For Black Sabbath)

February of 2020 will mark the 50th anniversary of Black Sabbath’s self-titled debut album, which changed all of our lives forever, even if we were but a twinkle in our fathers’ eyes at the time. A momentous occasion that deserves to be celebrated, certainly! But one problem: there’s no more Black Sabbath. Sad down-tuned guitar.

There is, however, still Zakk Sabbath, Zakk Wylde’s Black Sabbath tribute band. Not a poor substitute! Their current line-up includes two members of Ozzy’s solo band — Zakk (duh) on guitar/vocals and Blasko on bass — so by Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon rules, they basically are Black Sabbath (former Queens of the Stone Age drummer Joey Castillo rounds out the roster).

Thus, Zakk Sabbath will play a series of Black Sabbath 50th anniversary shows in Europe this coming February. Will U.S. shows follow? Fuck are you asking me for? I look like a fortune teller to you?

Dates are below. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
