“Prepare yourself for anything I say to get reposted on a million different social media news sites,” Corey Taylor tells Rolling Stone in a new interview. “It’s gonna be stupid.”

Well, far be it from us to make Corey seem unreliable! (Also, I have seven kids to feed.) So let’s repost this shit!!!

Mr. Taylor, the only person whose opinion on any given subject actually matters, has revealed to the magazine his picks for the decade’s best album and song. His choices are below; you can head over there to read his specific thoughts on each selection.

Best Album: Pressure and Time by Rival Sons

Best Song: “Elektra” by Refused

We trust that this will definitively settle the debate as to which releases were the decade’s best. We would also like to apologize to Mr. Taylor for getting it so wrong with our own list of The 25 Best Metal Albums of 2010 – 2019, which features neither Rival Sons nor Refused. In our defense, it was an industry poll, so we’re only partially to blame. Still, we are deeply, deeply ashamed.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Corey describes the sublime joys of the Guns N’ Roses reunion, Jim Butcher books, Netflix’s Marvel’s Daredevil, and the word “gunt.” But most excitingly, he drops this little bomb:

“I’m actually working on a movie right now. I finished a script and I’m aggressively looking for investors and producers.”

Holy crap! Why is Corey “actively looking” for investors and producers? WHY ARE THEY NOT BANGING DOWN HIS DOOR AND PLEDGING THEIR FIRST-BORN CHILD IN EXCHANGE FOR THE HONOR OF HAVING ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIS MOVIES?!?! THE MAN IS CLEARLY GOING TO CHANGE THE FACE OF CINEMA FOREVER!!!!

P.S. Slipknot have a lot of tour dates in 2020. Get their itinerary and purchase tickets here. My six kids thank you.
