Mr. Bungle Stoke Rumors of a New Album

Following their recent spate of reunion shows, Mr. Bungle posted a photo of a recording desk on social media, leading fans to speculate that a new release of some kind is in the works. The band added fuel to the fire yesterday with a wide shot of a recording studio live room, embedded below.

The band has not provided any further details, although the first photo to surface showed the word “Scott” written on tape on the console, seemingly indicating that Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, who performed at the recent reunion shows, is on board for this new project. Dave Lombardo, who handled drums, was not listed by name, although neither were core members Mike Patton or Trevor Dunn.

Assuming Mr. Bungle are making a new album, it would be their first in more than twenty years — since 1999’s California.
