Members of King Diamond, Soilwork, Hammerfall etc. Cover Rocky IV Song “No Easy Way Out”

Confined to their homes under quarantine like the rest of us, a group of Scandinavian metal and rock musicians has decided to put their idle time to good use with a new project called At the Movies, which, if their first entry is any indication, will be devoted to covering music from the iconic films of yesteryear.

For their first project, the group has tackled “No Easy Way Out,” originally by Robert Tepper and featured in Rocky IV. Here’s the lineup:

Björn Speed Strid (Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra): vocals
Chris Laney (Randy Piper’s Animal, Zan Clan): guitars, vocals
Allan Sørensen (Royal Hunt, Pretty Maids): drums
Morten Sandager (Mercenary, Pretty Maids): keyboards
Pontus Egberg (King Diamond): bass
Pontus Norgren (Hammerfall): guitar solo

From what I can gather the project was created by Laney and Sørensen and will feature different collaborators on each new tune. Fun! This is precisely the kind of carefree entertainment we need in these times.

The band promises, “This is just the beginning, stay tuned!”
