Slay at Home Virtual Metal & Art Festival to Include Darkest Hour, TesseracT, Twelve Foot Ninja, and More

If there’s been any upside to this entire coronavirus disaster, it’s been seeing the metal community band together (pardon the pun) to support musicians, touring crews, photographers, and even venues.

That fantastic, heartening trend will continue on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30, when our buds at Metal Injection present the Slay at Home Virutal Metal & Art Festival. The event, which will benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, will air on the Metal Injection YouTube page for free. The first wave of artists have now been announced, with more to be added every day through May 22.

Bands set to perform from quarantine include:

  • TesseracT
  • Darkest Hour
  • Twelve Foot Ninja
  • Der Weg einer Freiheit
  • O’Brother
  • Silvertomb
  • Astronoid
  • Contracult Collective
  • A.A. Williams
  • Myrone

The fest will also include commissioned music created by curated groups, set to debut at the festival. The first group announced includes:

  • Luc Lemay (Gorguts)
  • Dave Davidson (Revocation / Gargoyl)
  • Liam Wilson (Azusa, The Dillinger Escape Plan)
  • Elliot Hoffman (Car Bomb)

This sounds like it’s gonna be a killer event for a great cause — don’t miss out! You can learn more, and donate before the festival even begins, here.
