Bruce Dickinson’s Ex-Wife Dies Following “Tragic Accident”
Paddy Bowden, ex-wife of Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson, has been found dead following a “tragic accident,” according to The Sun.
The nature of the accident has not been made public. The Independent reports that an ambulance was called to the London home Bowden used to share with Dickinson at 9:42 a.m.:
“We sent two ambulance crews to the scene – the first one arriving within two minutes.
“Sadly, the patient had already died.”
Bowden, Dickinson’s second wife, married the vocalist in 1990. They divorced last year, although it is believed they initially separated in 2018. They had three children together: Austin, age 29, Kia, age 28, Griffin, age 27. Austin is also known to metal fans as the singer of Rise to Remains and As Lions.
Dickinson now lives in Paris with his girlfriend, Liana Dolci, a 46-year-old fitness instructor and “Iron Maiden superfan.”
In a brief statement, Dickinson had this to say about Bowden’s passing:
“This is a terrible tragedy which appears to be a tragic accident.
“Our children Austin, Griffin and Kia and I are devastated.
“Out of respect for Paddy we won’t be making any further comment at this hugely difficult and painful time for our family.”
MetalSucks sends its deepest condolences to Paddy’s loved ones during this difficult time.
