Zakk Sabbath Premiere Cover of Black Sabbath’s “Under the Sun”

Zakk Sabbath — the Black Sabbath tribute band featuring Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde, Ozzy bassist Blasko, and former Queens of the Stone Age drummer Joey Castillo — have premiered their take on Black Sabbath’s “Under the Sun.” You can listen to it below.

This is actually the ninth Black Sabbath cover Zakk Sabbath have released this year: back in September, they put out Vertigo, a re-recording of Sabbath’s entire 1970 debut.

“Under the Sun” obviously isn’t on Black Sabbath, though — this cover if for Vol. 4 [Redux], the latest in Magnetic Eye Records’ ongoing series of album recreations where each track is covered by a different notable band (they recently did Alice in Chain’s Dirt [Redux] with Khemmis, Thou, and -(16)-, among others). Besides Zakk Sabbth, Vol. 4 [Redux] will include High on Fire’s Matt Pike, Spirit Adrift, Haunt, WHORES., and more. It will be out October 30,and can be pre-ordered here.

That very same day, Magnetic Eye will also release Best of Black Sabbath [Redux], which includes Rwake, Earthless, and Howling Giant. That can be pre-ordered here. Magnetic Eye also released the aforementioned Vertigo. And you thought YOU loved Sabbath.
