Video: Foo Fighters Perform Five-Song Acoustic Set at Save Our Stages Fest

0

The Save Our Stages fest, which began Friday (October 16), enters its third and final day this afternoon. Organized by the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), Save Our Stages’ seeks to raise awareness about the dire circumstances venues have been facing due to the pandemic. Fan donations encouraged throughout the fest will go towards NIVA’s Emergency Relief Fund, which “directly support(s) our most vulnerable venues experiencing catastrophic revenue loss.”

Foo Fighters were among yesterday’s performers, broadcasting an acoustic set from The Troubador in Los Angeles, CA. Frontman Dave Grohl made an impassioned plea to the virtual audience, echoing the stance he took in an editorial earlier this year:

“It’s crucial that we do everything we can to make sure that these venues survive in order to inspire the next generation of musicians to go on and do beautiful things with their lives like make music. So please donate anything you can, ’cause we’re really hoping that we can save these smaller venues.”

You can watch the five-song set below, which featured the following setlist:

1. “Skin And Bones” (acoustic)
2. “My Hero” (acoustic)
3. “These Days” (acoustic)
4. “Times Like These” (acoustic)
5. “Everlong” (acoustic)

Today’s slate of live performances at Save Our Stages includes Little Big Town, Dave Matthews, Reba McEntire and The Lumineers. View the full schedule here. To donate to the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund, go here.
