Architects Release New Single, “Animals”

Architects have released a new song called “Animals,” which for now they’re presenting as a stand-alone (although a new album announcement could follow — it’s been since 2018).

I’m no Architects expert, not by any stretch of the imagination, but this tune strikes me as leaning more towards the hard rock spectrum than I remember of the band’s sound in the past, which I recall being somewhere on the metalcore/djent spectrum. That’s not a bad thing: I actually quite like it! It’s a catchy jam with a good hook, and I’ll take catchy jams with good hooks over 4th-gen metalcore any day of the week.
