Jason Bieler (Saigon Kick) Announces New Album Feat. Members of Megadeth, Sevendust, Devin Townsend, Queensryche and More

0

Fun fact: Jason Bieler, of Saigon Kick fame, was one of the very first people of industry import to give MetalSucks the time of day when we first launched back in 2006-2007 (his label, Bieler Bros, put out music by SikTh, Skindred, Raintime and others). That Axl and I were both big ‘Kick fans in the ’90s made that all the more sweet. It’s all been downhill from there… lol.

Bieler has remained active as a musician and producer throughout the years — dude is insanely talented — and he’s now resurfaced once again with a new solo album featuring some very high-profile guests. Those include:

Devin Townsend
Todd La Torre (Queensrÿche)
David Ellefson (Megadeth)
Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Asia/Sons Of Apollo)
Jeff Scott Soto (Sons Of Apollo)
Clint Lowery (Sevendust)
Benjie Webbe (Skindred)
Pat Badger (Extreme)
Butch Walker (ex-Marvelous 3)
Kyle Sanders (HELLYEAH)
Andee Blacksugar (KMFDM)
Emil Werstler (Dååth, ex-Chimaira)
Ricky Sanders (ex-Saigon Kick)
Steve Gibb (ex-Black Label Society, Crowbar, etc.)

I mean… WOW… right?? That’s a bonkers level of talent all on one record!

The debut single and video, “Apology,” features Todd LaTorre (Queensrÿche) on drums, Kevin Scott on bass, and a guest guitar solo from Andee Blacksugar (KMFDM), with Bieler handling lead vocals and all other instruments. Despite all those names and what they each bring to the table, the tune still very much sounds like Bieler / Saigon Kick, so it’s sure to please fans of all of the above.

Songs For The Apocalypse will be released under the moniker Jason Bieler and The Baron Von Bielski Orchestra on January 22, 2021 via Frontier Music; pre-order here.
