Devin Townsend Posts New Song, “Precious Sardine,” with Interpretive Dance Video

Devin Townsend’s backyard has proven a reliable and durable video shoot location over the years. First made famous by Devin’s legendary video for “Lucky Animals,” in which he showcased some groundbreaking, forward-thinking dance moves, his own little slice of paradise has made its way into a number of video clips he’s posted here and there since.

And now it’s back! Devin has released a new song, “Precious Sardine,” and he has once again taken to metal’s most famous quarter-acre to showcase the moves he’s been working on for the past eight years. And those moves do not disappoint! I kept watching the entire way through rather than switching to another tab and listening, because I just couldn’t wait to see what gyration or pelvis thrust he pulled next.

Drummer Morgan Ågren and backing vocalists Aman Khosla and Tanya Ghosh appear on the track, which appears under the “Quarantine Project” moniker and is presumably not part of The Puzzle, an album he recently revealed is in the works. Have a watch below.
