Foo Fighters Make Shoes and Sake Now

Looks like a new album won’t be the only thing the Foo Fighters are releasing in the coming weeks.

First up: the band is teaming up with Vans from new kicks. Specifically, they’ve slapped their logo on the sneaker company’s popular Sk8-Hi (hey, it’s the only way I skate!) design.

Much more excitingly for those of us who use chemicals to dampen our feelings, the band is also getting ready to release a collaboration with the sake-maker Tatenokawa, dubbed “HANSHO (Midnight).” They’re already taking orders here (at least for fans in Japan — I can’t figure out whether or not this will be shipped elsewhere), with the actual sake due to arrive February 2. That’s just three days before the release of the aforementioned new Foo offering, Medicine at Midnight.

On top of all of that, the band has announced that the next single (after “Shame Shame” and “No Son of Mine“) from Medicine at Midnight, “Waiting on a War,” will be released tomorrow, Thursday, January 14. While we wait for that, pre-order Medicine at Midnight here.
