Jinjer and Suicide Silence Announce Fall 2021 North American Tour

Following yesterday’s European tour announcement for September, Jinjer have now revealed plans to tour North America in October and November. The trek, which will feature Suicide Silence opening, was originally scheduled for spring 2020… but, well, you know.

It should go without saying, but this tour is far from a sure thing, whatwith a timeline for the return of live concerts at full scale unclear at the moment. The tour could be pushed back yet again if venues cannot operate at 100% capacity, at which point putting on shows won’t be economically feasible for the band or venues. We’re certainly hoping the world is in a stable enough state by October — with sufficient numbers of folks not only vaccinated but feeling comfortable packing into hot, sweaty, cramped rooms — for the tour to become a reality.

In a press release announcing the tour, Jinjer did not acknowledge the possibility that the tour isn’t a sure thing. Gotta appreciate that confidence, I suppose, but I have to wonder whether that’ll leave fans hesitant to buy tickets.

Jinjer are in the studio right now working on a follow-up to their 2019 album Macro.
