Lamb of God’s super-duper-extra-special-deluxe-premiere-reissue of their eponymous 2020 album comes out Friday! To celebrate/remind you, the band has debuted a new live quarantine session video for one of the songs from that album, “Routes.” As is the case with the studio version, the quarantine performance features a guest appearance by one Mr. Chuck Billy, of Testament fame.

Says Billy of the track:

“It’s always an honor to be asked to perform with Lamb of God, especially on this song. It has such a deep meaning for me personally with my native American heritage. I’m happy Randy included me to get the message out about what is going on with Native Americans in the USA.”

“Routes” rocks, which you knew already, so lemme get totally cereal with use guize: I paused the clip during Billy’s part ’cause I wanted to see what was on his shelf. The spines are mostly illegible, but you can very clearly see DVDs for The Bee-Gees and The Cure, and that already makes me love Chuck Billy all the more. I can also see a Lamb of God DVD (it’s hard to miss that Papyrus!) and what I think is a Metallica Russian doll. Interesting.

Watch the “Routes” video below. Lamb of God: Now with More Shit comes out this Friday, March 26. That additional shit includes two bonus tracks and a live version of the album, along with a DVD featuring the first of Lamb of God’s two livestream events from the fall. A separate vinyl edition of Lamb Of God – Live From Richmond, VA will also be available. Pre-order it here.

Not at all coincidentally, LoG guitarist Mark Morton was our guest on The MetalSucks Podcast last week! Listen to that chat here.
