Metallica’s “Battery,” But It’s in a Major Key

0

Our old pal Börje Unchained (formerly Metal Börje) is back with another of his trademark versions of classic metal songs drastically reimagined.

The YouTuber, whose covers of “Enter Sandman” in the style of Slipknot and Iron Maiden first captured our attention, has once again returned to the bottomless well of content that is Metallica for his latest stunt: “Battery,” but it’s in a major key.

What’s more, it’s not just a standard cover in a major scale instead of minor: the arrangement has been reworked a bit, TheRocketQueen90 has supplied vocals with their own unique twist, and Tuomas Wäinölä dialed in a killer guitar solo. The result is a happy little ditty that sounds like what would happen if Blink 182 covered Metallica… but with better chops.

Listen below! Börje is of course not the first to reimagine Metallica songs in a major key, but we’re digging it nonetheless.
