Carnifex Drop New Single and Video, “Pray For Peace”

0

Carnifex have released a new single and video, “Pray for Peace,” following standalone singles “Seven Souls” and a cover of Korn’s “Dead Bodies Everywhere” in recent months. Their latest has some Gojira-style pick-scrapes on top of the band’s usual darkened deathcore fare (not that Gojira were the first or only band to do the pick-scrape thing, just the best known for it) so give that a spin below and see if it pickles your tickle.

Are these three recent single releases part of an eventual album? Unclear at the moment, but we’ll surely find out soon enough. World War X, their most recent album, came out in August 2019.

What’s more, Carnifex have some headline dates planned for July as well as a five-week run with The Black Dahlia Murder, After the Burial, Rivers of Nihil and Undeath in September and October. Huzzah! The band claimed to have lost over $250,000 when their early 2020 tour was canceled at the dawn of the pandemic, so be sure to go out and support them.

Watch the video for “Pray for Peace” below.
