Teenage Brothers in Hammerhedd Unveil Death Metal Banger, “Sediment”

Hammerhedd, the band of brothers aged 19, 17 and 14 — whose praises we’ve sung here on MetalSucks plenty of times in the past — have unveiled a new song and video, “Sediment.” And we’re not at all surprised to report that it’s yet another killer entry from these young men.

For the uninitiated, the band borrow heavily from the death metal side of the groove metal spectrum — think Gojira, Decapitated, Meshuggah — with their own techier take, ala Gorguts or Dysrhythmia. It’s ferocious and it’s original (despite all those bands I just name-checked), and every time I see something new from these guys it gives me faith that the future of metal is in the right hands.

Give “Sediment” a watch and a listen below. You won’t be sorry.
