Stormy Daniels Will Run Eyehategod’s Merch Booth
Eyehategod are best known for being one of the most famous metal bands to emerge from New Orleans. They have released seven studio albums over a career spanning over 30 years, and they’re cult favorites who are widely credited as sludge metal pioneers.
Stormy Daniels, born Stephanie Clifford, is an adult film actress and director best known for accepting a hefty sum of money from former President of the United States of America Donald Trump to keep quiet about their sexual relationship. She has become a cult hero among nay-sayers of Mr. Trump and has made quite a career for herself as such.
These two cult forces of nature will collide on September 11, when Daniels will run the merch table for Eyehategod at the band’s belated hometown record release show — their new album, A History Of Nomadic Behavior, came out in March — taking place at Poor Boys. Goatwhore and The Obsessed will open the show and another the night before, September 10 (at which Daniels will not appear).
How did these two legends’ paths come to intersect? We aren’t sure, although press copy says the band considers her a friend, and indeed, she hails from just up the road in Baton Rouge so the relationship isn’t too far-fetched. Still, we’ll have to get Mike IX on The MetalSucks Podcast and ask him! But in the meantime, you’re gonna wanna grab tickets to the show ASAP before they’re all gone.
Eyehategod will be part of Gwar’s fall North American tour, also featuring Napalm Death. Their two NOLA shows (including the one with Daniels) will kick off some headline dates about a month before the Gwar tour.
