Girish and the Chronicles Hop On Board the “Lovers’ Train”

Everyone’s favorite new-school hair metal torchbearers Girish and the Chronicles are back with “Lovers’ Train,” their latest single!

Wait, what’s that? They’re not your favorite new-school hair metal torchbearers? One listen to this song will fix that, I’m positive.

Wait, wait… you’re not a fan of this kind of metal at all? What are you, some kind of fun-hating metal cop? Eff youuuuuu!

Girish himself comments on existential matters of utmost importance:

“We are a hard rock/melodic rock/heavy metal band. We like making the kind of music that we grew up listening to, which revolves around the ’80s. However, we do like including a song or two that may have a very different vibe. Could be in the form of a progressive song or maybe a riff that has a bit of ‘India’ in it. All in all, we think of it as a roller coaster ride with the meanest in-your-face songs to beautiful ballads. We feel no matter how dedicated we are to the art, we still should not stop ourselves from exploring more, but without losing the essence of what we truly love.”

Outside of his namesake band, Girish also sings for Firstborne, the new-ish band featuring ex-Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler, ex- and current Megadeth bassist James LoMenzo, and guitar phenom Myrone.

Listen below. Press copy tells us that “Lovers’ Train” serves as an appetizer for the band’s forthcoming new studio album, scheduled for an early 2022 release via Frontiers Music Srl.
