Rammstein Tease Music Video for “Adieu” and Make a Reference to Mutter

German industrial metal icons Rammstein switched up their social media presence earlier today to tease a new music video for “Adieu,” off their latest album Zeit, but is that all they’re teasing?

Earlier today the band posted a 20 second video showing a vault closing behind some ominous music before ADIEU shows up in stark red letters, followed by 24.11.22 17:00 CET. So naturally, that means we’re getting a video for that track this Thanksgiving, November 24 at 11 a.m. EST.

But if you look closely at the video posted below, you’ll notice that the vault doors have “MUTTER-22” written on it. Certainly that means something, right? Mutter is German for “mother,” but it’s also the title of their third studio album that features some of the band’s more beloved tracks like “Mein Herz brennt,” “Ich will,” and “Feuer frei!” Does its inclusion in the teaser clip mean we’re getting a delayed anniversary edition or a remaster? As a fan of the band, I certainly hope so!

Look, maybe I’m looking a little too deep into things and slowly becoming that Charlie Day “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” meme with the conspiracy theory board, but it’s too conspicuous not to get a little curious. At least we won’t have to wait too long, so that’s a good thing. As for now, only time will tell.
