Sleep Token’s Second Single in 24 Hours, “The Summoning,” Gets Heavy

Not content to leave you with their single “Chokehold” from earlier this week, alternative metal band Sleep Token dropped yet another single and music video on us with the unexpected release of “The Summoning.”

Unlike the previous song, which was a little more melodic and experimental at times, “The Summoning” gets right into it with drop tuned guitars and heavy moments that slowly flow into the more melodic, groovy aspects of the piece. It’s really an unexpected turn from “Chokehold,” especially given how quickly they dropped this one after the first one.

These last two songs are the first new releases from Sleep Token since 2021’s This Place Will Become Your Tomb.

Sleep Token are currently on tour in Europe, with some headlining dates set in the U.K. later this month.
