Mötley Crüe Tease a ‘Secret’ Club Show So They Can More Intimately Ruin Your Memory of Them

0

In what appears to be a thinly veiled hint at a secret club show next Friday, Mötley Crüe took to Twitter earlier today to promote some unknown band called Dögs Of War and their upcoming gig at London’s The Underworld.

Of course, we only know that because even though the band’s blocked us on Twitter, it’s been posted everywhere else on the internet so it’s not exactly a major secret…

As you can check out at the tweet above, it’s a heavily stylized show poster with some heavy music playing in the background. Given the fact that The Underground has a max capacity of 500 people, if this is a secret Mötley Crüe show, then thankfully only 500 people will ruin their memories of what that band used to be by attending.

We know the Crüe has been working on new material with Bob Rock at the helm. While speaking with Eddie Trunk last month, guitarist John 5 said he was excited about the direction the band was going with their new material, calling it “fucking heavy.”

“The songs are fucking heavy. I sound like a little excited kid right now, but they’re heavy and they’re mean. I can’t wait for them to come out. I’m just so excited.”

You know, I can’t imagine a world where 2023 Mötley Crüe sounds “heavy,” but if the album’s good and cool then I’ll be absolutely shocked. We’ll give it a fair shake, naturally, but it will be absolutely mindblowing.

Still, if you want to go to the show, you can get tickets to the “Dögs Of War” over at The Underworld’s site. And if you do go, be sure to get footage so we can make fun of Vince Neil and point out Nikki Sixx’s backing tracks!
